Myxa is a Plasmoid, a race of wildly evolved, amoeba-like sentient beings from beyond the stars across the Astral Sea. Though plasmoid children are technically clones of their kin, and clans are considered one singular being, young plasmoid have an intense curiosity for the extended world, so they often leave the group for some time in order to gather more knowledge that might strengthen the greater whole. Myxa took passage on a ship known as a Spelljammer, joining their crew to wanderer the stars, only for their vessel to be attacked by a Void Scavver; giant, fish-like creatures capable of inducing terror in the minds of others. Myxa escaped on a single person Jammer, though without knowing how to pilot the craft, found themselves hurtling to the surface of a nearby planet..
